Empowerment, leadership, and sustainable contribution since 2014.
Karary Dental Students' Association (KDSA) was established on October 14, 2014, with the aim of developing students' academic, professional, and community-oriented capabilities, while fostering a spirit of initiative and volunteerism among them. Since its inception, the Association has served as a student-led platform for creating activities, programs, and projects that benefit both fellow students and the community, establishing itself as a model of effective and innovative student engagement within and beyond the faculty.
To empower dental students academically, professionally, and personally so they become influential leaders in their community and profession.
We seek to support dental students through academic, cultural, and community activities, and to provide an environment that encourages learning, leadership, volunteer work, and community service.
"Every strong association begins with one person who dares to start."
The association was founded to represent dental students, address their evolving needs, and create an active student community. It also aimed to strengthen collaboration within the faculty and establish connections with national and international organizations, paving the way toward future engagement with IADS. Dr. Motaz Ibrahim Suliman, the founding member of the association.
"We don't just train members — we build tomorrow's leaders."
My vision is to create a structured training system that equips every member with the skills and confidence to grow. By providing strong foundations for newcomers and continuous development for experienced members, we aim to build future leaders and ensure lasting growth through a clear pathway to greater responsibilities and leadership. Dr. Osama Aljezoly Current President
"Strong institutions aren't built on individuals—they're built on systems."
During my presidency in 2021, our focus was not simply changing leaders, but building a stronger institution. Together, we introduced a permanent constitution, established KDSA's first democratic electoral system, and created a structure that encouraged participation across all batches. My greatest achievement was not these milestones alone, but leaving behind a sustainable system that continues to grow beyond individuals. Alameen Omer Abusham Former President (2021)
"A true leader's commitment does not end with a term of office—it lives on through service, impact, and lasting dedication.”
From my first day as President of the Executive Committee, I was committed to strengthening KDSA, creating a lasting impact, and serving both students and the community through meaningful programs, training, and teamwork. Although our term was cut short by the outbreak of war, I remain proud of what we achieved together and confident that future leaders will continue building on this legacy. KDSA will always hold a special place in my heart. Dr. Awab Abdulkarim Abdulfarraj Former PresidentEvents and Activities
